Mosaic in Action receives grant for repair work on homes damaged by Hurricane Beryl

Press release by Jim Liberatore, Mosaic in Action President and Co-Founder

Brazoria County, TX. - Mosaic in Action (MiA) recently announced that it received a $499,262 grant from the American Red Cross to restore homes damaged by Hurricane
Beryl in 2024. Plans are to restore as many as 30 homes, repairing roofs first and then working on damaged interiors.

Mosaic in Action is a non-profit dedicated to serving Brazoria County and the immediate surrounding areas. Homes are restored using do-it-yourself volunteer labor. Volunteer
labor allows MiA to leverage donations to gain the maximum use of funds. The money will be used to repair damaged homes and to build resiliency into homes,
lessening the effect of future weather events.

"This partnership with Mosaic in Action is about neighbors helping neighbors. When disaster strikes, recovery takes all of us working together. By partnering with MiA’s
efforts, we’re ensuring that families in Brazoria County not only rebuild their homes but restore their sense of security and hope. That’s the heart of our mission.” — Jessica
Debalski, Executive Director, Coastal Plains Chapter

To date, 488 homes have been restored by MiA since Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
