Our Story

The Rev. Jim Liberatore and Debbie Allensworth formed Mosaic in Action in October 2014 to address the needs of Brazoria County, Texas, residents and registered as a 501(c)(3) organization in May 2016.

Following Hurricane Harvey, our focus became disaster relief and recovery within Brazoria County. Since then, Mosaic in Action has repaired over 400 homes damaged by hurricanes, tropical storms, major wind events, seasonal flooding, and even a winter storm.

While we are primarily known for our disaster response (Recovery) work, that is only 1/4 of what we have to offer. In "blue sky" times, Mosaic in Action provides residents with critical home repairs (Resiliency), disaster preparedness materials (Resources), and a network of trustworthy volunteers (Relationships).

Mosaic in Action is committed to improving the lives and living conditions of our Brazoria County neighbors– whether that be during the "blue sky" times or when the next inevitable hurricane hits. Thank you for supporting our mission of Bringing Brazoria County Home
